We cruise along the route of the Leeds and Liverpool canal from its junction with the Aire and Calder in the centre of Leeds to the Eldonian Basin at the end of the canal in Liverpool.
We also cruise along the Leigh Branch to the junction with the Bridgewater Canal and the Rufford Branch to the junction with the tidal River Douglas. In Liverpool we look at the Stanley Dock Branch and the route of the planned extension to Albert Dock.
We show some of the interesting places along the route including the Bingley Five Rise (a staircase of 5 locks) and Wigan Pier, made famous in George Orwell's book "The Road to Wigan Pier".
This contains a DVD of the cruise, with maps and commentary. For a little fun we have a forward facing camera providing a high speed recap of the journey.
Great for holidays, route planning, gifts, souvenirs, birthdays and Christmas.
The DVD is in DVD-R format, recorded in PAL for use in the UK and some other countries.
Each is supplied with a fold-out map (37 x 24 cm - 14 x 9 inches) and an information booklet giving further background material.
Available in Popular format - a cross between a documentary and a holiday programme.
