Filming was undertaken during September 2008 and shows just how far the restoration had progressed then.
The DVD starts at Hanbury Junction with the Worcester and Birmingham Canal and, travelling on foot, follows the route of the Canals.
First the narrow Droitwich Junction Canal through Hanbury Locks and past the construction of the new cut and locks where the culvert of the Body Brook is used to pass under the M5 motorway which blocks the original alignment.
Then we join the River Salwarpe, being made navigable for a short distance, to take us to the Barge Lock and onto the Droitwich Barge Canal with the long top pound starting in Vines Park.
Continuing along the route of the Barge Canal we see the broad locks in varying states of preservation which complete our descent to join the River Severn at Hawford Junction.
The DVD runs for 30 minutes providing a view of the route from east to west.
The DVD is in DVD-R format, recorded in PAL for use in the UK and some other countries.
Each is supplied with a fold-out map (24 x 18 cm - 9 x 7 inches) and an information booklet giving further background material.
Available in Restoration format - a cross between a documentary and a history programme.
